I was raised on kindness, love of Jesus, and pink lemonade. I prefer flip flops over heels, and cowgirl boots over tennis shoes.
I recently graduated with a Master's of Science in Speech-Language Pathology and I am currently working with children and adults who have various communication needs.
I created this blog for the purpose of relating bible verses to real life situations I have encountered, and how God has helped me through every single one of them. It's not about being perfect or having the perfect life; it's about trusting that God will always take care of you, and those lessons you learned are there for a reason. What I write is raw. It's not perfect, and it may contain a typo or two. But I love it for its imperfections.
When I was around three to four, I almost set my kitchen on fire by putting that play/plastic food in the oven, unbeknownst to me that the oven was turned on afterwards. I also am responsible for carving my name into our backyard fence because I was sick of drawing in coloring books. I cried when I got stickers on my toes when I walked through the ground cover in the backyard, and I made up songs to sing to my Barbie dolls. When I was younger, I wanted to be a teacher and a singer. I also pretended that I had five sisters and one brother - maybe because I wanted a big family.
Oh, and my middle name's Lauren.
